Overview
Audiences are invited on a journey through literature led by Lynn, a lovable ‘libravian’ as we explore themes of courage and identity, celebrating brilliant books and diverse stories through big hearted physical comedy.
Lynn reads sections of amazingly brave books to audiences along with original soundscapes by Jenny O’Malley that immerse us in the world of each book, all written by Irish authors around the theme of bravery. This unique performance, with playful costume and intricate sound design, reinvigorates civic spaces and has delighted younger audiences, families and schools with a celebration of literature, physical theatre and diverse stories.
The Libravian is a Commission by Baboró International Arts Festival for Children in partnership with Children’s Books Ireland. The show features brave, diverse books by Irish authors Patricia Forde, Meg Grehan, Christine Hamill and Jane Mitchell.
